UL has been supporting customers in Germany with testing and certification services for the past 20 years. We are now in 11 German locations, and have more than 500 local engineers and other employees working on projects to enable German businesses both in-country and abroad.
Some examples of UL’s work in facilitating global business for leading enterprises in Germany can be seen at Hannover Messe 2016. Today, UL presented Siemens with its newest certification, to UL 489 for a 3VA molded case circuit breaker for global use. Additionally, later this week, Phoenix Contact will be receiving the first power supply certification to IEC/UL 62109 (UL 1741).
During a walk-through of the Messe halls, UL’s service to local industry can be seen everywhere:
A final word from Gitte Schjøtz, President International for UL: “We are so proud to serve locally — we truly believe that our local presence in our customers’ preferred locations is what makes our global reach so successful.”
